Purpose and Thematic Scope of the Journal

Lex Dogana is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published quarterly (by March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31) and dedicated to the study of customs law, administrative law, public governance, and the legal aspects of international trade.

The journal publishes original research articles, analytical studies, commentaries on court decisions, and thematic materials devoted to customs administration, public service regulation, and border management. Its goal is to foster the exchange of knowledge and professional experience, combining in-depth legal analysis of contemporary challenges with comparative studies on both national and international levels.

Lex Dogana disseminates the results of research conducted by scholars and practitioners from Ukraine and abroad, creating an intellectual platform for evaluating the effectiveness of law amid global economic and institutional transformations. The journal contributes to the development of proposals for improving legal and organizational solutions, taking into account best practices from EU member states and other jurisdictions.

To promote international academic dialogue, the journal accepts articles in English, Polish, Italian, Spanish, French, and Ukrainian, and publishes abstracts in English to increase visibility and accessibility in the global academic space.

In addition to research articles, Lex Dogana includes materials and commentaries, case law analyses, teaching resources, and source materials for legal research. Each issue may feature reviews of scientific publications, reports from conferences and seminars, as well as analyses of current changes in customs policy and institutional reforms.
